QUALIFICATIONS
I have over eleven
years of hands on experience with Walt Disney Imagineering.
While employed at Imagineering, I was responsible for
painting projects of various sizes and complexities. This work
included, was not limited to, painting models to full size
production pieces, props, sets, and color boards. In addition
to my painting skills, my work at Imagineering required that I
take and coordinate instructions from various departments, such
as:Interiors, Dimensional Design, Production Design, and
Show Design
My title was "Dimensional
Design Paint Supervisor". This position involved interviewing
and hiring painters, devising time estimates and budgets, adapting
to changing project needs and problem solving for creative
teams.
I have the following
capabilities
1. To complete assignments
working from drawings, photo reference, conceptual artwork and often
just verbal desires and direction.
2. To meet project
deadlines in both terms of schedule and budget, while
accommodating design and aesthetic
changes as the project progresses.
3. A vast knowledge of
various paint types, protective coatings, their methods of
application and compatibility with other materials; and
4. To work alone or with
other artists with a minimum of information and
supervision.
